Despite out hitting the Union County 7-6 on Monday, the Trojans couldn’t put together enough runs to beat the Braves in the 6th District Tournament in Henderson. They end their season with a 7-25 record.
Union County put one run on the board with a double in the first inning, but Hunter Davis and his squad quickly went on the defensive. The senior hurler struck out three of the next six batters, and the defence kept the rest from reaching base.
In the bottom of the third, Union added two more runs to their total thanks to an error and a batter being hit by a pitch. The Braves added a fourth run off of a one run homer in the fourth.
