Webster County High School basketball standout Mason Roland has been selected as one of 43 juniors from across the state to try-out for the Kentucky Junior All Star squad that will participate in the annual Kentucky/Indiana All-Star Classic scheduled June 6 in Indianapolis and June 7 in Lexington.
All tryouts are invitation only and will be held April 12 at Georgetown College will 12 juniors being selected for the squad.
“We are very excited for the upcoming tryouts and bringing in a new class of talented players,” said Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches President Kerry Stovall. “The competition seems to be improving every ear, which is good for the series.”
Roland led the Trojans to an 18-10 record this season averaging 15 points, 5.8 assists, 3.5 steals and 3 rebounds per game. He shot 74 percent from the free throw line and 50 percent from the field.
