Traylor resigns as WCHS Baseball Coach

By CHARLIE HUST
After leading a very young and inexperienced Trojan baseball team to a 9-22 record last year, first-year head coach Zack Traylor resigned the position last week.

A 2008 WCHS graduate, Traylor took over the baseball program last January after the resignation of previous coach Tom Blumette one month earlier. Traylor recently accepted a teaching position in Paris, Tennessee.
“His time and efforts were greatly appreciated, and WCHS wishes him the best of luck,” noted Webster athletic director Matt Bell.
Traylor was a five-year starter for the Trojans during his high school career and also played football. He attended Murray State University and completed his degree in Education in 2013.
Bell said that anyone interested in applying for the baseball coaching position should contact him at 270-639-3485 or at matt.bell@webster.kyschools.us
