Webster County High School golf team ‘teed-off’ its season last Tuesday at Pennyrile State Park in strong fashion, stroking Dawson Springs 153-210.
WCHS junior Trevis Bell took medalist honors on the day with a 2-under-par 34. Devin Morris added a one-over par 37 while senior teammate Zac Shoulders added a 39. Hunter Davis rounded out the scoring with a 43.
Skyler Storm led Dawson with a 2-over-par 38.
The Trojans returned to the 18-hole Pennyrile course on Saturday to compete in the annual Dawson Springs Invitational. Webster finished eighth overall in the 16-team field with a combined score of 338.
Trevis Bell paced WCHS once again, firing a 2-over-par 74 in the 18-hole event to finish fifth overall. Devin Morris was five strokes back at 79 while Zac Shoulders finished with a 91. Hunter Davis added a 94 and Tyler Smith completed his round with a 95.
The Trojans are back in action this week, hosting Dawson Springs on Thursday at the Providence Municipal Golf & Recreation Center. The Lady Trojan will also be on the course, entertaining Hopkinsville and Ohio County.
The Webster boys will travel to Franklin, KY, on Saturday to participate in the South Warren Invitational at the Kenny Perry Country Club.
