Trojan boy's golf off to strong start

By CHARLIE HUST
Webster County boys’ golf team continued its strong play last week, participating in two more matches.
Webster traveled to Ben Hawes State Park in Owensboro on Tuesday to take on the Daviess County Panthers.

Daviess County prevailed in the dual match 164-176. WCHS played without it’s top player, Trevis Bell.
WC senior Zac Shoulders and junior Hunter Davis led the way with a 5-over-par 41’s while Devin Morris was three strokes back at 44. Tyler Smith completed the scoring with a 50.
The Trojans traveled to Madisonville Country Club on Saturday to compete in the Hopkins County Central Storm Classic.
Webster ended the day with a seventh-place finish in the 13-team field, led by junior Trevis Bell and his 1-over-par 73. That was good enough for a third-place finish overall.
Hunter Davis added an 82 while Devin Morris finished with an 87 and Zac Shoulders a 92. Ethan Clayton completed the 18-hole course with a 100, Tyler Smith 101, Logan Edwards 112 and Kaleb Byrum 116.
