Once a Trojan: Where are they now?

by MATT HUGHES
J-E Editor

For four years, parents, classmates and family members follow the athletics careers of their favorite Trojans every week in the paper. Then that athlete goes off college, and although they are still competing, unless they land at a major DI college where their games will appear on television, their names and faces are suddenly absent from the news.

But these same kids we all cheered for each week are still out there making a name for themselves on the field, the court or the course.

From Iszack Whitsell on the Morehead State Cross Country team, to Mickey Morse III who will begin his college career with Kentucky Wesleyan College in the spring, to the five former Trojans who now compete in cross country, soccer and basketball at Brescia University, these young Webster County men and women deserve our respect and attention.

If you have the name of a former Trojan currently playing in college, please contact me at matt@journalenterprise.com.
