The Tigers improved to a perfect 4-0 on the young season with a decisive win last Tuesday at Trojan Field.
After scoring a run in the second inning on two singles and a sacrifice fly, CCHS exploded for four runs in the second, thanks to a two-run double from Drake VanHooser followed by a two-run homer from Elijah Anderson. The Tigers banged-out 12 hits in the victory.
Webster threatened to score in the first when Brady Wright singled, stole second and moved to third on a ground-out. But he was erased at the plate trying to score on a fly ball to right field.
The Trojans trimmed the lead to 5-1 in the third on an RBI-double from Slayde Hanville. After a single run from Caldwell in the top of the fourth pushed the lead to 6-1, the Trojans added two runs in the bottom of the frame.
Ethan Clayton had three hits to lead the Trojans.

It was the second time in two weeks the Trojans “10-runned” the Falcons and last Friday’s win didn’t last long.
A 17-run outburst in the third inning by WCHS halted the contest. Fort Campbell took a quick 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first and the Trojans tied the game 1-1 on RBI-single from Devin Morris in the top of the second. The offensive flood gates then opened in third as Webster sent 22 hitters to the plate.
Mickey Morse and Ethan Clayton led the 15-hit barrage with three hits apiece while Heath Price, Logan Erickson and Brady Wright added two safeties each. Clayton had four RBI followed by three runs batted-in each from Erickson and Morris.
Slayde Hanville earned the pitching victory, allowing one run on one hit in two innings along with four strikeouts. Drake Villines worked a perfect third inning.

Madisonville stroked 10 hits but the main culprit for the Trojans was a season-high eight fielding errors that led to a single run in the second and four runs in the third.
WC’s only run came in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI-single from Mickey Morse.

Ethan Clayton and Slayde Hanville were both 2-for-4 while Coy Burns had two walks.
Logan Edwards suffered the pitching loss, working five innings and allowing just three earned runs on five hits and four walks. Webster committed five fielding errors that led to four unearned Henderson runs. Drake Villines worked one inning of relief as did Brendon Thompson, who struck out two.
