Weather has been a problem all season, and the last week has been no exception, with games against Paducah Tilghman and Ohio County being knocked off the schedule due to rain. But it was a game rescheduled from April 26 that helped the Trojans add another ‘W’ to their season standins on Monday night when they faced the Fort Campbell Falcons on the road.
Juniors Ethan Clayton and Thomas Geary were perfect from the plate in the blow out win. Clayton went 4-4 with a pair of RBIs and Geary hit 3-3.
Webster jumped out to an early lead when Clayton hit an RBI triple deep to left field, driving in senior Hunter Davis. Three pitches later Clayton would score on a wild pitch to take a 2-0 lead into the second inning.
In the top of the second, the Trojans would extend their lead to 6-0 off of a sacrifice by Dylan Rich, singles by Davis and Brendon Thompson and a steal of home by Logan Erickson.
Rich, Buchanan, Clayton and Thompson would all pickup RBIs in the top of the third, while two runs were scored off errors, giving Webster a lead of 11-0.
The Trojans added two more runs in the top of the fifth to take a 13-0 lead.
The win goes to Buchanan, who gave up just four hits and no run while pitching the complete game. He also had a big day on the other side of the ball, hitting 3-4 with an RBI.
Also hitting for the Trojans were Hunter Davis (2-4), Dylan Rich (1-2), Brendon Thompson (1-4), Jacob Weaver (1-4) and Drake Villines (1-4)

Webster led through four and a half innings on Saturday against Whitesville Trinity, but a six run rally by the Raiders late in the game put the win out of reach.
Hunter Davis drew first blood for the Trojans with a steal of home in the first inning, then was backed up by RBI singles from Logan Erickson and Clayton Buchanan to give Webster a 4-0 lead.
Brendon Thompson and Drake Villines each hit RBI singles in the second to extend their lead to 6-0.
After shutting Webster out in the top of the third, Trinity battled back in the bottom half of the inning, tightening the lead to 6-5, but the Trojans managed to hold onto the lead until the tying run was plated in the bottom of the fifth inning.
The raiders rallied again in the bottom of the sixth, scoring six runs and taking a 12-6 lead.
Thompson picked up a ground out RBI in the top of the seventh, but that was all the Trojans could muster, falling 12-7 to the home team.
Drake Villines led all Trojan batters in the game, hitting 3-4 with two RBIs.
Also hitting were Hunter Davis (2-4), Clayton Buchanan (2-3), Logan Erickson (1-3), Brendon Thompson (1-4) and Jacob Weaver (1-4).
The loss went to Ethan Clayton, who struck out two and gave up nine earned runs through five innings. Pitching in relief, Clayton Buchanan gave up no hits and two runs in one inning on the hill.
